 If you are looking for superior performance from a single ply shirt then the Titan Katana Bench Shirt may not be the place to start if you are a beginner, but the titan katana is definitely the place to end up. The torque sleeve design essentially pre-twists the sleeves to be tight and loaded from the top. Unlike other shirts in which much of the load is spread over the chest plate, the Titan Katana Bench Shirt loads very heavily in the arms.

This makes it ideal to use over a longer period of time because as the chest plate begins to stretch out the arms will continue to load correctly. Unlike other single ply shirts which may be more springy and forgiving, the Titan Katana Bench Shirt is better at locking up and stopping the weight, requiring a more patient decent.

It’s easier to fall off the bubble in a Titan Katana and dump because it locks up so hard…but…if you can hang in there and be patient the NXG plus material gives incredible rebound off the chest. Few lifters use a 2 ply Titan Katana Bench Shirt because it’s nearly impossible to touch with even heavy weights, so the performance benefits fall off. Overall, the Titan Katana Bench Shirt is an amazing shirt with a stiff learning curve, but well worth the effort in single ply.
